Diamond Lil Ruana

This is a beautifully colored, gull-shaped, modular wrap—no sewing involved—in which squares have been set as diamonds. We worked our model in variegated, Aran-weight wool-blend yarns with semi-solid edgings in the same yarn line. Garments might also be worked in strong color blocks with sharply contrasted edgings, or even in stray balls of the same weight and fiber mix. Regardless, we think that one element should remain constant, such as the borders—the wrap’s appeal depends on an overall coherence. Yarns have been knitted a bit on the loose side to encourage drape.
