The Orkney is a cardigan sweater made for youth sizes toddler to 7. Chest circumference is 20″ – 29″.
As shown, it features an easy crocheted edging, but if you prefer, you may opt for a knitted alternative (not shown). We used a springy merino wool yarn by Trendsetter in crayon colors, but another bouncy worsted-weight yarn may be substituted. Nothing prevents using long color-run worsted-weight yarn, or a single, solid or tweed colorway, perhaps with a second colorway for borders.
