Description
Geometric shapes are endlessly fascinating. Knit this Artisan Knitworks cardigan design in a cropped length with bracelet-length sleeves, or lengthen the body, sleeves, or both. It’s your choice. We will show you how to customize your jacket and make it fit; customization, in turn, will ensure that future sweaters will fit. These squares are mostly picked up from previous squares, minimizing seams. But you’ll also learn how to enjoy making short seams, and how to use modular squares in other projects.
Skills: Advanced beginner (basic K and P, cast on, bind off) and above
Materials: Free pattern, 1200-1500 yards chunky wool, or 1500-1800 yards DK wool (shown in Noro yarns, choice of weights). Tape measure, yarn needles, appropriate knitting needles, 16 and 24 inch; crochet hook for button-loop edging in appropriate size (we will teach this skill if you’re not a crocheter).
For most classes, we hope you’ll use our beautiful yarns! We offer a 10% discount on full-priced materials to be used in the class.
All classes include detailed handouts or (as relevant) printed patterns.
Classes may require a minimum number of participants. If Artisan Knitworks or the instructor has to cancel, a full refund (check), registration in another class, or store credit (120% of tuition) will be offered. If you have to cancel your class registration up to 7 days before the event, we offer the same choices. However, we cannot offer these choices if you cancel within the 7-day window.
