Description
In this fun three-part workshop, advanced beginners gather skills quickly, making one or more blocks each week in different stitch patterns. You can make a pile of beautiful washcloths in cotton yarn- great gifts!- or a patchwork blanket in either cotton or washable animal-fiber yarn. Your choice! We supply the patterns and a ten-percent class discount to help with yarn cost. If you choose a blanket or afghan, we will help with sizing. This is a fabulous way to augment skills and gain confidence.
Skills required: Knitting basics (knit, purl, cast on, cast off)
Materials: DK or worsted-weight yarn, plant or animal fiber, yardage dependent on fiber and project size; appropriate needles (16 or 24 inch, size 6 or 7 for DK, 8 or 9 for worsted), tape measure, scissors, yarn needle. Suggest a variety of solid colors.
For most classes, we hope you’ll use our beautiful yarns! We offer a 10% discount on full-priced materials to be used in the class.
If you need to wind the yarn, come early!
All classes include detailed handouts or (as relevant) printed patterns.
Classes may require a minimum number of participants. If Artisan Knitworks or the instructor has to cancel, a full refund (check), registration in another class, or store credit (120% of tuition) will be offered. If you have to cancel your class registration up to 7 days before the event, we offer the same choices. However, we cannot offer these choices if you cancel within the 7-day window.
