Adelaide Fiber Company - Tweed Fingering

March 17 – 19, 2023

Artisan Knitworks will host a fabulous trunk show – the work of Janice Dlouhy of Adelaide Fiber Company in Charlotte, Michigan.   We think that “Adelaide” is vaguely British.  So we can combine it with a St Pat’s Day celebration.  What do I mean, vaguely British?  Well, according to Mr. Google:  “Adelaide is a girl’s name of German origin that means “noble kind.” In the 19th century, Queen Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen was the ruling monarch of Great Britain …She was especially revered in Australia, where the city of Adelaide was named in her honor.”   See?  Vaguely British.
